My laptop has not been working and I haven’t bothered to have it fixed right now. The timing was actually a good thing. I was spending way to much time on the web at night. I have limited access at work. So it’s Saturday morning I am at the library catching up on emails and a few of my favorite blogs.

It seems the current wait time is getting longer. It may take up to 30 months for me to get my referral. That would mean early 2009. That’s not a typo! 2009! What can I say….. I am stepping away from the China adoption community for awhile. No blogs, no emails, no RQ (well I might take a peek around May 1st to see how many days were referred), no adoption websites, and no Yahoo groups. I am taking my toys and going home for awhile.

I have a new puppy to distract me, I am going to Aruba in 15 days, and when I get back I am going to start (town)house hunting (Uncle Sam is not kind to singles with no deductions). Hey, if this is going to take another 22 months I can afford to buy a house.

Yup this is where I am going.  I so need this vacation.
